Dr. Taylor is recognized as a respected leader, educator and innovator, specializing in research mentorship as well as graduate and medical school admissions consulting. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Central Michigan University, a Master of Health Sciences and a Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College. She also completed two research fellowships at Yale School of Public Health and Harvard Medical School.


A first-generation college student, she knows firsthand how to navigate uncharted professional and academic pathways and is passionate about guiding other to success. Prior to medical school, she traveled to more than 20 countries, gaining a global perspective on public health and the challenges faced by diverse communities. Throughout her educational career, she has held a variety of leadership roles that shaped her expertise in mentorship, teaching, and professional development. She has designed curricula, developed simulation labs, and provided one-on-one guidance to individuals on graduate and medical school admissions, interview preparation, and personal statements. In addition, she offers life coaching and career counseling, helping individuals set goals, navigate academic challenges, and achieve their full potential.


Dr. Taylor believes mentorship is one of the most transformative relationships in both professional and personal development. She has guided individuals from a wide range of cultural, socioeconomic, and educational backgrounds. Her philosophy of mentorship is grounded in the belief that talent is universal, but opportunity is not. She offers career advice, advocates in professional spaces, and serves as a consistent presence for those she mentors. Dr. Taylor views mentorship as a responsibility to foster equity and access, empower mentees, support them in achieving their goals and ultimately prepare them to one day mentor others in turn.


Outside of work, Dr. Taylor enjoys cooking, traveling, crafting, and spending time outdoors.
