Theodore (“Ted”) is recognized as a distinguished business leader with more than 30 years of executive leadership in the healthcare, life sciences, and finance industries. Originally from West Virginia, he holds degrees from several prestigious institutions: a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master of Public Health from Yale School of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University.
Ted commenced his executive path at Massachusetts General Hospital, building on his previous experience in clinical laboratories and life science research. He developed expertise in transactions and regulatory matters as an attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, which he later applied in the investment banking sector at Wasserstein Perella & Co. where he created substantial value for healthcare and related businesses. His industry acumen was further refined through senior investment roles focused on healthcare and life sciences.
With a strong commitment to supporting others in clarifying goals and attaining success, Ted has contributed as a course designer, advisor, and M&A law instructor at the James E. Rogers College of Law, University of Arizona, and has mentored company founders through the Winston Starts accelerator. Through these roles, he has had a lasting impact on aspiring professionals at critical stages of their lives and careers.
